The Mounting is Staggered, and it was Designed Not Only to Replace the SD255 Version Also Used in the Same Applications (Part Number 6483), But Can Also Be Used to Replace the 10MT 3510M and the 3733, Used in Earlier Applications. GM Service Bulletin #00-08-04-014 Dated April 2000 Talks About a Condition Which May Exist That Allows the Crankshaft Position Sensor to Command Up to 50 Extra Degrees of Spark During Engine Cranking Only. The Result of This is Engine Backfire, Kickback, No-Start, Etc., and Could Cause Damage to the Starter Housing Starter Motor, and / or the Flywheel. The Repair for This Condition, According to the Bulletin, is Replacement of This Sensor, and Affected Parts, as Necessary. |
