In a heartfelt and thrilling endeavor, Rich Sutton is gearing up for another incredible “Longest Day Up” challenge, aimed at raising funds for Cancer Research UK. This ambitious ride will take Rich and his good friend Matthew O’Grady from the southernmost tip of England at Land’s End to the northernmost point of Scotland at John O’Groats. The journey, spanning the length of the UK, must be completed in just 24 hours. To add to the challenge, the pair will be riding motorcycles that were purchased for no more than £600 and will be navigating through A and B roads.
With the final preparations underway, Rich reached out to Moto-Electrical for a crucial component: a stator for his bike. This part is vital for ensuring his motorcycle runs smoothly throughout the grueling 24-hour journey. Despite the daunting nature of the challenge, Rich’s determination shines through, driven by a noble cause – to support Cancer Research UK.
Cancer Research UK is a charity dedicated to saving lives through research, influence, and information. The funds raised by Rich’s ride will go towards vital cancer research, helping to develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected by cancer. Rich and Matthew’s journey is not just a test of endurance and mechanical resilience but also a testament to their commitment to this invaluable cause.
Rich has shared his story and is calling on the public for support. In a recent Facebook post, he wrote:
